Burr Oak provides [lodge rooms](https://www.stayburroak.com/rooms) and [cabins](https://www.stayburroak.com/cabins) to suit different preferences and budgets. We offer 38 guest rooms in the main lodge and 30 cabins, with many of our cabins being [pet-friendly ](https://www.stayburroak.com/cabins/pet-friendly-cabins)for guests traveling with pets. ## What are the check-in and check-out times? [Lodge Rooms](https://www.stayburroak.com/rooms): Check-in: 4:00 p.m. | Check-out: 11:00 a.m. [Cabins](https://www.stayburroak.com/cabins): Check-in: 4:00 p.m. | Check-out: 10:00 a.m. ## What is the minimum age for reserving a room? The minimum age for reserving and/or checking in to any of our accommodations is 21 years old. A valid government-issued identification is required. ## Are there ADA Compliant rooms at Burr Oak? Burr Oak Lodge & Conference Center has an accessible King Executive Patio suite. We take reservations up to 12 months in advance of arrival. ## What reservation policies are there? - The rates listed are our maximum rates throughout the year. Rates are frequently reduced based on availability and date of arrival. - Rates listed are per night and are subject to applicable sales and bed tax. Rates and taxes are subject to change. - Rates are listed in US dollars. - Individual reservations will be accepted up to 18 months in advance from the first day of the month. - A minimum length of stay may be required for weekends, holidays, or special events. - No tents permitted at the cabins. - A minimum length of stay for cabin rentals may be required from Memorial Day – Labor Day. All reservations require an advance deposit payable by major credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB and Diners Club. The credit card is charged the deposit amount at the time of booking. ## How do I modify or cancel a reservation? Room and cabin reservations may be modified or canceled up to 7 days prior to your arrival; after that date, the deposit is non-refundable. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, JCB and Diners Club. ## Is there an extra cost for children or extra room occupants? All rates are stated in US dollars and are based on double occupancy in a standard double room unless otherwise stated. Children under 17 years of age stay for free with at least one paid adult. ## What taxes and fees are there? Our current tax rate is 7.25% sales tax, a 10% bed tax, and a 3% beautification fee ## What is the Beautification Fee? In partnership with Ohio Department of Natural Resources, U.S. Hotel and Resort Management, Inc. will assess a three percent beautification fee on all purchases at the lodge. The monies collected are designated to be used for the continual improvement of the overall lodge and cabin accommodations, and recreation amenities only. ## Dining & Activities ## Does Burr Oak Lodge have dining options? Yes, Burr Oak features an amazing on-site restaurant offering fine dining experiences. Our restaurant serves guests quality meals in a serene woodland setting, perfect for romantic dinners or group dining events. ## What hiking trails are available at Burr Oak Lodge? Burr Oak Lodge offers 40 miles of hiking trails through beautiful woodland settings. The trails wind through the natural landscape that surrounds our lodge, providing guests with scenic outdoor adventure opportunities year-round. ## Is Burr Oak Lodge good for corporate retreats and meetings? Absolutely. Burr Oak offers 4,100 square feet of flexible meeting space accommodating up to 250 guests, making it ideal for corporate retreats, team-building events, and business meetings in a natural woodland setting. ## Special Policies ## Can I bring my Pet? Yes, Burr Oak is the a pet-friendly lodge, with 10 out of 30 of our cabins welcoming pets. This makes us an excellent choice for families traveling with their four-legged companions. Pets are not permitted in any lodge rooms or cabins not designated as "pet-friendly." However, all assistance dogs for visually or hearing impaired or orthopedically challenged individuals are permitted in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991. ## What is the smoking policy? Please note that our lodges and cabins, in accordance with state law, provide a smoke-free environment for all guests. We ask that this non-smoking policy be observed inside all guest rooms, cabins and public areas, including restaurants. Smoking is only permitted 30 feet away from any building. Smoking is prohibited on all room and cabin decks, patios, balconies, and porches. ## What is your liquor policy? Under Ohio law, alcohol is prohibited in all public areas of every state park, including lakes, campgrounds, beaches, and trails. The only exceptions are Lodge restaurants and lounges. Each lodge is the liquor permit holder and, in accordance with Ohio law, alcohol purchased off premises is strictly prohibited. The legal age for possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages, regardless of family status, is 21 years of age. A valid government-issued identification is required to possess, purchase, share in the cost of, or consume any alcoholic beverages at any time. ## Is there an option to dine in public areas? Public areas (i.e. anywhere outside of your room or cabin) are for the enjoyment of all guests. All food must be purchased through the lodge and consumed only in the dining room, lounge or private meeting room. Therefore, no food is to be consumed in the public areas. Private meeting rooms are available for larger gatherings. ## Can I bring recreational equipment to Burr Oak Lodge? Recreational equipment including but not limited to bicycles, scooters, skateboards, hoverboards, roller skates, inline skates, motorized vehicles and toys, drones, and remote controlled devices are not permitted in the lobbies, corridors, hallways, or any interior area of the Lodge. ## Location & General Information ## How close is Burr Oak to Columbus? Burr Oak Lodge is located 1 hour and 30 minutes from Columbus, making it an easily accessible woodland retreat for central Ohio residents and visitors. ## What are the nearest major cities? We do offer high-speed wireless Internet inside our lodge. ## Is there cell phone service? Cell phone service is available for most providers; however, we can't guarantee the signal strength. ## About Burr Oak ## What makes Burr Oak Lodge unique among Ohio State Park Lodges? Burr Oak Lodge was designed to blend naturally with the surrounding woodlands, creating a serene hideaway atmosphere. With 40 miles of hiking trails and fine dining, it offers the perfect combination of outdoor adventure and comfort. ## Is there a fee to enter the park? There are no park entrance fees at Burr Oak State Park. ## What kind of weather can I expect? - **Winter:** Days are chilly, with temperatures ranging from 15–30°F. Evenings are much colder, staying in the single digits and teens, but rarely dropping below 0°F. Winter snow and ice storms are common. - **Spring:** Early spring months are similar to winter, with the same likelihood of storms. Late spring temperatures rise to the 70s during the day and evening temperatures drop to approximately 30–45°F. - **Summer:** Long hot days averaging 85°F, which is ideal weather to experience the many activities at Burr Oak. Enjoy a summer evening stroll through the park, with night temperatures in the 60s. - **Fall:** A burst of brilliant color and the early months are comfortably crisp with the day temperatures ranging from 60–70°F and evenings in the 50s. ### Still need help?
